Question about business consulting
I want to start a consulting business to help small businesses cut costs, how do I get customers?I am a 6 Sigma Master Black Belt. 6 Sigma is a statistical methodology that focuses on making decisions based on data. I want to start a consulting business that helps small businesses cut their costs using 6 Sigma methodologies. What would be the best approach to letting small businesses find out about my services. I propose to charge based on a percentage of the 1st year's savings to the client (ie 30%) of total savings. I am certified in Project Management and Training of 6 Sigma. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Great video and great instructor…I find this video very valuable.
The motivational commission is based on net returns after taxes and overheads, not on Profit. Also one must consider the cost of "finishing the job". Some times the profit is eaten up by the follow up , over runs, legal formalities, litigation if any, in addition to the salaries and perks. If it is a limited company then rights of the share holders can not be over looked.
What ever is left is the net addition to the kitty of the company. Another point one has to investigate is the market trend , that is how the other companies are handling their sales staff under similar situations.
At the end of it either match the competitors or earmark 1 % of net return as bonus with minimum and maximum limites. If the returns are too heavy, save for the organization because soon you will find competitors in your market.
Remember , todays bonus is tomorrows floor level. From my personal experience , monetary benifits has limited role in motivation, recognision and responsibilities are better motivators and go a long distance than mere monetary benifits.
Thank you for this
What exactly is your question please?
wow! Great action
The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.
I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.

Best way is to establish a personal relationship with the top decision maker. Everything else is B.S, Senior managers generally use consultant sthat they trust on a personal basis …..with the only exception being where there is a very specialized task that can only be performed by a select few. HR consultants are a dime a dozen. Buddies get and keep the work.
Send introductory letter to big & small establishments stating your charges & objectives like manpower planning , studing organizational structure etc.
my business has a strong connection in india and need working partners .
Find a store front. Do not work out of your house…so unprofessional. Have all of your venders (florists, preachers, places to rent everything from linens to tables to glasses) lined up. Set up a policy manual for yourself (and future employees) stating your goals, your dreams and what you are striving to do.
Have enough capital to cover certain items. Learn bookkeeping skills……..accounting is IMPORTANT. Check with other consultants and see how much they charge.
Specialize is a certain type of wedding. You can't be the best in all weddings. Either upscale, inexpensive but tasteful, wild, places in strange locations.
Have enough money to support yourself for at least three months until the money starts coming in. Remember, some weddings take a year to prepare….you may have to wait that long to get fully paid.
